Как рассказали протоколирующие заседания адвокаты, Голубев сообщил, что еще до событий начала 2022 года — активной фазы расследования уголовного дела, вышел из компании "Гермес", а также написал нотариально заверенное заявление о выходе из кооператива "Бест Вей". Из "Гермеса" получил через деньги через схему p2p — так, мол, консультант "Гермеса" ему рекомендовал, "чтобы не платить комиссию". При выводе средств Голубев получил больше, чем ранее положил на счет. Голубев решил выйти также из кооператива, так как написал заявление — но деньги получил из-за ареста счетов только в этом году. При этом изначально ему был присвоен статус потерпевшего, в суде же он выступал уже в статусе свидетеля. Таких "потерпевших", как Голубев, немало, отмечают адвокаты: так, одна из пайщиц на недавнем заседании обвинила кооператив в том, что он ей не выплатил средства по заявлению о выходе, в то время как она сама систематически отказывается подтвердить реквизиты для перечисления средств, получает письма из кооператива, отправляет уведомления о прочтении, но не отвечает на них. Состоялось долгожданное разбирательство по апелляционному представлению Прокуратуры Санкт-Петербурга на решение Приморского районного суда Санкт-Петербурга полностью снять арест с одного из трех счетов кооператива, на которых почти 4 млрд рублей. Сейчас кооператив распоряжается только вновь поступившими на эти счета средствами — за счет этих средств происходят выплаты пайщикам, написавшим заявление о выходе из кооператива, при этом темп выплат крайне низкий из-за проверок каждого платежа Росфинмониторингом и банками. Кроме того, по решению суда происходят выплаты с арестованных средств по исполнительным листам тем пайщикам, кто решил не ждать выплат, а предъявил и выиграл иски к кооперативу о возврате средств, а также налогов кооператива и зарплаты его персоналу. Кооператив ходатайствовал перед судом о полном снятии ареста с одного из счетов кооператива — самых маленьких, в банке ПСБ, на более чем 600 млн рублей, чтобы гарантированно рассчитаться со всеми примерно 2000 пайщиков, которые подали заявление о выходе из кооператива, — не зависеть от возвратных платежей в кооператив, которые из-за ареста счетов были затруднены и сейчас осуществляются с задержками — с которыми кооператив борется, но быстро эти платежи в нужном объеме вряд ли сможет получить. Решение суда первой инстанции о снятии ареста было в апреле, назначение рассмотрения апелляции в Санкт-Петербургском городском суде крайне затянулось из-за того, что прокуратура добавила к основному апелляционному представлению дополнительное — рассмотрение состоялось только в начале июля. При этом уже в самом заседании прокуратура добавила новые доводы, заявив, что в реестре выплат, представленном кооперативом еще в начале 2025 года, из 773 строк по пайщикам, которым произведены выплаты, имеются 14 строк, в которых фигурирует один из подсудимых — Выдрин, а также 13 лиц, которые назывались лицами, признанными потерпевшими, в рамках уголовного процесса как лица, которым передавались деньги для компании "Гермес". Прокуратуру возмутило то, что лица, которые, возможно, виновны в хищениях, получили средства раньше лиц, признанных потерпевшими. При этом Выдрин написал заявление о выходе из кооператива еще до того, как был привлечен в уголовное дело, и ни на какие его активы арест не накладывался. Санкт-Петербургский городской суд согласился с доводами прокуратуры, отменив решение суда первой инстанции в части снятия ареста со счета — при этом он не подверг сомнению тезис, на котором было основано это решение Приморского районного суда: несоразмерность общей суммы ущерба в уголовном деле — 282 млн рублей и общей суммы арестованных средств только кооператива как гражданского ответчика по данному уголовному делу — почти 4 млрд рублей (при этом есть еще аресты средств других лиц). В самом конце июля Приморским районным судом будет уже рассматриваться продление или непродление арестов средств на счетах на новый трехмесячный срок — и кооператив опять будет ходатайствовать о снятии ареста со счета в банке ПСБ. В Приморском районном суде началось также новое гражданское дело — по иску пайщицы кооператива Дорониной к пайщику кооператива, объявляющему себя его альтернативным председателем, Георгию Моисееву, ранее активисту кооператива и координатору программы по проведению региональных митингов в поддержку кооператива. Судебное разбирательство по существу начнется в сентябре, судья потребовал от представителей Моисеева представить первичные документы о якобы проведенном (без решения совета кооператива) голосовании по выборам новых уполномоченных, так как его юрист сообщил, что документы — на кооперативных участках. Председателям самочинных комиссий по перевыборам, якобы прошедшим весной на 13 из 14 кооперативных участков, придется представить первичные документы, бюллетени для голосования, при этом общее число голосовавших должно быть не менее 7,5 тыс., так как в кооперативе — 15 тыс. пайщиков. (На одном из участков — кооперативном участке (КУ) № 7: иркутско-бурятско-забайкальском — группа Моисеева проводить голосование не решилась, так как еще в начале года одна из пайщиц подала против Моисеева иск о незаконных действиях в иркутский суд, который сейчас активно рассматривается.) В суд с первичными документами, как подчеркивают адвокаты, придется явиться председателям "комиссий по проведению голосований на кооперативных участках": на КУ № 1 — Атрохиной Н. But for years there has been a merging of wellness, disinformation and conspiracy, as a subset of influencers use the backdrop of aesthetically pleasing, pastel-colored posts to spread much darker messages, weaving together alarming conspiracy theories with calls for users to buy their supplements or services.

This phenomenon exploded during the pandemic, when anti-vax sentiment took hold in large parts of the wellness community. As interest in the pandemic waned, experts say some wellness influencers have latched on to climate change to galvanize followers.

Their concern: Those influencers — some with hundreds of thousands of followers — are exposing new, and younger, audiences to a slew of misinformation and undermining efforts to tackle the climate crisis.

The claims Simmons found were sweeping and varied, ranging from outright climate denial to attempts to undermine climate solutions by portraying them as part of a global plot for control.

Some focused on deadly extreme weather events, saying they were orchestrated by the government, or that malign global forces were modifying the weather. Others claimed climate policies were a plot to control people’s lives, bodies and diets. Rejecting climate action may seem counterintuitive for wellness influencers, who often focus on nature or evoke bucolic visions of the past. But when you have insight into this world, it tracks, Simmons said.

A strong thread of individualism runs through wellness accounts, alongside a deep distrust of authorities. “They emphasize individual solutions to collective problems, and they sell wellness as a response to climate anxiety,” she said.

Many of these influencers maintain they are merely speaking truth to power. It’s a theme of @truth_crunchy_mama account, who calls herself a “truth teller.” The person who runs the account did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.

Some even say they accept the human-caused climate crisis.

Joseph Mercola, the man behind the @drmercola Instagram account, told CNN that “humans are absolutely impacting the environment and the climate.” When asked about his comments on Hawaii’s wildfires, he said he accepts the consensus that dry conditions and strong winds fueled the blaze. “It was never stated that it was definitely intentional,” he said, “although some have speculated that is a possibility.”

His climate posts are often framed in this way, not making definitive claims but rather asking questions like: Is the idea of eating insects “part of globalists’ ‘green agenda?’” Or advertising guest posts suggesting the “war on climate change” follows “the same playbook used by nefarious individuals who lust for complete power over the citizens.”

Older adults are the most vulnerable
With buckets, bottles, trash cans and other kinds of containers, residents wait in the street for a water tanker to arrive. Among them is Ines Castro, 74, who sits on a sidewalk under the sun.

“We’ve been waiting in line since morning, and no one has arrived,” Castro said, with tears welling up in her eyes when asked if anyone accompanied her. “I live alone, I’m all alone,” she replies and said she hopes a neighbor will help her carry the bucket home if she manages to fill it.

The municipality has mobilized some 70 water trucks, but they are not enough to serve everyone and don’t always adhere to a schedule.

Erselinda Guilca, who is now retired, says her health is failing and asks for a quick solution to the problem.

“We’re old and can no longer carry heavy buckets of water. We have been here in this cold since morning, hungry. We don’t even have water to bathe,” she said, adding that she would prefer not to have electricity than to be without water, which is essential.
With a plastic washbasin and a pot from her kitchen, Elsa Sarango joins the neighbors’ protest while waiting in line for the water truck.

“If we were young, we wouldn’t mind carrying it; this is very heavy. I just ask for a little water,” she said. She insists that as the days go by, the sanitation and hygiene needs in her home increase. “They don’t tell us the exact time. We have to make trips little by little, otherwise, how would we live?”

Untreated water: a desperate option
Elsewhere in southern Quito, people in the Nueva Aurora neighborhood have grown increasingly desperate and are gathering in the central park to collect water from a spring that doesn’t meet sanitary or purification standards.

Residents have to walk several blocks to retrieve this water. Others get there on vehicles and bicycles, and some rent small, homemade carts that are used to transport containers to avoid carrying so much weight.

“At least it works for me to use for the bathroom. My house is four blocks away. There’s no other option, even if the water isn’t drinkable,” a man arriving in a hurry tells CNN.

A bricklayer named Tomas Chiguano says he’s forced to carry water in black garbage bags because he doesn’t have any containers.

“We don’t have trash cans. We’re there carrying it in bags, and sometimes the bags come out torn,” he said.

Chiguano emphasizes that his work as a bricklayer is affected because he lacks water to mix construction materials like cement and sand, which are essential for his projects.

As of Tuesday, the government has installed the first portable water treatment plant in the area to prevent health problems.

The project is piloting a network of “cool paths,” which implement nature-based shading techniques, to allow visitors to navigate between the museums and cultural sites on foot, says Al Mubarak.
